PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY ON LGBTQIA+ PEOPLE WITH OCD

Did you know? LGBTQIA+ people are six to nine times more likely to be diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) than their cisgender, heterosexual peers.

Our friends in the Storch Lab at Baylor are conducting a study on OCD in the queer community. They hope their study will help inform more inclusive theories and treatment practices for LGBTQIA+ people with OCD. Please consider participating (if relevant) and sharing widely within the OCD community. Email PrideOCD@bcm.edu or access the survey directly at: https://tinyurl.com/uhsd963h

November 28th- Messages of Hope: A Holiday Card Making Event in New Orleans

The holidays can be a hard time for those who are away from home to get help with their OCD. Something as simple as a card and a message from the heart can make a huge difference. Along with Rise Center for OCD and Anxiety, we are hosting a holiday card making event on November 28th. These cards will be sent to children, adolescents, and adults who are receiving treatment for OCD and related disorders away from home over the holiday season.

Drop by 3500 Canal St between 4 and 7. Parking available on site. To the left of the main entrance (facing Clark St), press the top buzzer (by the camera) to be let in. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and proceed to the right, following the hallway to St. Vincent’s Hall. We’ll provide all of the supplies!

This amazing initiative, developed by Not Alone Notes and the IOCDF, is a great way to send messages of hope to those working hard to reclaim their lives from OCD.

Can’t make it, but want to participate? Click here to learn more about sending your cards directly to the IOCDF for distribution.
