2024 Annual Report

Dear Friends,

We are proud to share OCD Louisiana’s 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a year of meaningful progress and connection. We begin by extending our heartfelt gratitude to outgoing board member Michele Carroll, PsyD, for her seven years of exemplary dedication and service. As a founding member of OCD Louisiana, Michele played an instrumental role in shaping our organization, serving as both Treasurer and Vice President. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and passion she has poured into our mission, and she will be truly missed!

2023 Annual Report

Dear Friends,

As we reflect on the events and achievements of the past year, we are excited to present OCD Louisiana’s 2023 Annual Report. Misconceptions about OCD and related disorders highlight the necessity of increasing awareness and building community connections. Through the New Orleans One Million Steps for OCD Walk, we facilitated meaningful conversations, established support networks, and promoted education about OCD and its related disorders within our community.

2022 Annual Report

Dear Friends,

The year 2022 was a great year for OCD Louisiana! To start, our small nonprofit would like to offer sincere thanks to outgoing board members for their hard work and leadership through the year, including Caitlin Bussey, BS of Lafayette (outgoing Secretary), Chance McNeely, MPA of Baton Rouge (outgoing Treasurer), and Ashley Royerre Talley, MS, CCC-SLP of Slidell (outgoing Board Member-at-Large). A huge thanks goes to our volunteers who are continuing to serve the organization, including Michele N. Carroll, PsyD of Houma who is continuing in her role as Vice-President and Ashley Rush, MA of Lafayette who is transitioning into her new role as Secretary.

2021 ANNUAL REPORT

Dear Friends,

Towards the end of 2020, four members of OCD Louisiana’s Board of Directors passed the torch along to new volunteers, resulting in a leadership team bringing us into 2021 with a wider range of perspectives on mental health and who represent additional regions of Louisiana. Our outgoing members, all based in the Greater New Orleans region, tirelessly worked with us from the very beginning and were each essential in bringing OCD Louisiana to fruition. We’d like to extend our deep appreciation to outgoing members Leslie C Higgins, PsyD (Vice President), Melissa Dufrene, PsyD (Secretary), Suzanne Chabaud, PhD (Board Member-at-Large), and Gail F Pesses, MSW, LCSW (Board Member-at-Large). Michele N Carroll, PsyD, who will move from her position as Treasurer to Vice President, and I (continuing in the role of President) are happy to welcome new members Caitlin Bussey, BS of Lafayette (Secretary), Chance McNeely of Baton Rouge (Treasurer), Ashley Rush, MA of Lafayette (Board Member-at-Large), and Ashley Royerre Talley, MS, CCC-SLP of Slidell (Board Member-at-Large), to the Board of Directors of OCD Louisiana.

2020 Annual Report

Dear Friends,

It goes without saying, but 2020 was an incredibly challenging year for Louisianans. Despite the hardships that resulted from the coronavirus pandemic and hurricane season, the people of Louisiana came together to support each other with compassion and kindness.
